This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms relating to appointment bookings, cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, session packages, and missed appointments. By booking a session or purchasing a session package, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this policy.

1. Appointment Confirmation

Your appointment is confirmed only after:

• Your booking process has been completed;
• Payment has been successfully received through the approved payment gateway; and
• You receive a booking confirmation.

2. Cancellation by the Client

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify The Inner Smile as early as possible.

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session may be eligible for one complimentary rescheduling.

Requests for a refund of an individual session will be considered only in exceptional circumstances and solely at the discretion of The Inner Smile.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling, as the appointment time has been reserved exclusively for you.

3. Rescheduling

Clients may request to reschedule an appointment by providing at least 24 hours’ notice.

Rescheduling is subject to appointment availability.

Repeated last-minute (made with only 24 hours’ notice) cancellations or rescheduling requests may require a new booking and payment.

4. Missed Appointments (No-Show)

If a client does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice:

• The session will be treated as a No-Show.
• The session will be considered utilised.
• No refund or replacement session will be provided.
• Where a session package has been purchased, one session will be deducted from the package.

5. Late Arrival

If you arrive late for your online session:

• The session will conclude at the originally scheduled end time.
• The full session fee will remain applicable.

6. Cancellation by The Inner Smile

If The Inner Smile needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered either:

• A new appointment at a mutually convenient time; or
• A full refund of the amount paid for that session.

7. Session Packages

Session packages are offered at a discounted fee to encourage continuity and consistency in the counselling process.

Package Validity

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase:

• 4-session package: Valid for 8 weeks from the date of purchase.
• 5-session package: Valid for 10 weeks from the date of purchase.

Any unused sessions remaining after the validity period will expire automatically unless an extension is granted in writing at the sole discretion of The Inner Smile.

Refunds for Session Packages

Session packages are non-refundable.

No refund will be provided for unused sessions included within a purchased package.

Packages are intended for the individual client who purchased them and are not transferable unless expressly approved by The Inner Smile.

8. Refund Processing

Where a refund has been approved:

• Refunds will be processed through the original mode of payment, or the payment mode as determined by The Inner Smile.
• Processing times may vary depending upon Razorpay and the client’s / The Inner Smile’s bank or payment provider.
• The Inner Smile is not responsible for delays caused by payment processors or financial institutions after a refund has been initiated.

9. Exceptional Circumstances

The Inner Smile understands that unforeseen situations may arise.

Requests relating to serious medical emergencies or other exceptional circumstances may be reviewed individually.

Any decision regarding refunds, package extensions, or other exceptions shall remain at the sole discretion of The Inner Smile. Any such decision by The Inner Smile is final as between the parties for the purposes of this Policy.

10. Changes to this Policy

The Inner Smile reserves the right to amend this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice. Updated versions will be published on this website. Amendments will apply prospectively to bookings made after the revised Effective Date, unless change is required by applicable law or specifically agreed between the parties.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction. This Refund & Cancellation Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India, consistent with the governing law and jurisdiction clause in the Informed Consent Form.
