Please read this document carefully before booking and beginning the sessions offered by The Inner Smile. By acknowledging consent in the intake form, proceeding with booking and by availing The Inner Smile’s services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms below.
1. Nature of Services
The Inner Smile offers Emotional Wellbeing Coaching delivered through an integrative approach drawing upon psychology-informed counselling skills, psychotherapy-informed techniques, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), to support emotional wellbeing, self-awareness, personal growth, emotional resilience, and overall psychological wellbeing.
This work is intended to support emotional awareness, stress management, personal growth, and inner alignment through a holistic mind–body–inner awareness approach.
These services are supportive and complementary in nature and do not constitute as medical advice, assistance or treatment.
2. Scope of Practice
Services are provided in accordance with the practitioner’s education, training, certifications, experience, and professional approach, and through National Health Care Academy certification course. Aparna Aggarwal holds a certification as a Psychology Counsellor and experiential psychotherapist from the National Health Care Academy (NHCA); this is a professional certification and not a statutory licence, and does not constitute registration as a psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, or other “mental health professional” under the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017.
Sessions / services offered by us do not include or constitute:
- Diagnosis of mental health disorders
- Psychiatric treatment
- Medical advice or treatment
- Licensed clinical psychological services
These sessions are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or emergency mental health care.
Clients currently under the care of a physician, psychiatrist, or other mental health professional are encouraged to continue that care as appropriate.
You are advised to seek medical assistance in case you are experiencing any medical health issue. The Inner Smile does not offer assistance in medical or psychological emergencies including when an individual is experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide or may be danger to others, or is showing symptoms of severe clinical disorders such as schizophrenia and other psychotic conditions. It is advisable to seek professional medical care in such situations.
3. Suitability and Crisis Limitations
This practice is intended for women and girls (18 years and above) seeking emotional wellbeing support.
These services are not appropriate for crisis intervention or psychiatric conditions requiring immediate clinical care, including active suicidal intent, active psychosis, or acute psychiatric emergencies.
In a mental health or medical emergency, please contact emergency services (112) or appropriate crisis support immediately.
The Inner Smile does not provide emergency or crisis response services.
4. Confidentiality
Information shared in sessions is treated as confidential except where disclosure may be required:
- If there is serious risk of harm to self or others
- If disclosure is required by law
- If disclosure is required under a lawful order or legal obligation
Where feasible, this would be discussed with you first.
Sessions may not be recorded by either party without prior mutual written agreement.
5. Session Structure and Fees
Sessions are conducted online and typically include:
- Discovery Call (15 minutes)
- Individual Session (60 minutes)
- Extended sessions where agreed in advance
6. Appointment Confirmation
Your appointment is confirmed only after:
- Your booking process has been completed;
- Payment has been successfully received through the approved payment gateway; and
- You receive a booking confirmation.
7. Cancellation by the Client
If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify The Inner Smile as early as possible.
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session may be eligible for one complimentary rescheduling.
- Requests for a refund of an individual session will be considered only in exceptional circumstances and solely at the discretion of The Inner Smile.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling, as the appointment time has been reserved exclusively for you.
8. Rescheduling
- Clients may request to reschedule an appointment by providing at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Rescheduling is subject to appointment availability.
- Repeated last-minute (made with only 24 hours’ notice) cancellations or rescheduling requests may require a new booking and payment.
9. Missed Appointments (No-Show)
If a client does not attend a scheduled session without prior notice:
- The session will be treated as a No-Show.
- The session will be considered utilised.
- No refund or replacement session will be provided.
- Where a session package has been purchased, one session will be deducted from the package.
10. Late Arrival
If you arrive late for your online session:
- The session will conclude at the originally scheduled end time.
- The full session fee will remain applicable.
11. Cancellation by The Inner Smile
If The Inner Smile needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered either:
- A new appointment at a mutually convenient time; or
- A full refund of the amount paid for that session.
12. Session Packages
Session packages are offered at a discounted fee to encourage continuity and consistency in the counselling process.
13. Package Validity
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase:
- 4-session package: Valid for 8 weeks from the date of purchase.
- 5-session package: Valid for 10 weeks from the date of purchase.
Any unused sessions remaining after the validity period will expire automatically unless an extension is granted in writing at the sole discretion of The Inner Smile.
14. Refunds for Session Packages
- Session packages are non-refundable.
- No refund will be provided for unused sessions included within a purchased package.
- Packages are intended for the individual client who purchased them and are not transferable unless expressly approved by The Inner Smile.
15. Refund Processing
Where a refund has been approved:
- Refunds will be processed through the original mode of payment, or the payment mode as determined by The Inner Smile.
- Processing times may vary depending upon Razorpay and the client’s / The Inner Smile’s bank or payment provider.
- The Inner Smile is not responsible for delays caused by payment processors or financial institutions after a refund has been initiated.
16. Exceptional Circumstances
The Inner Smile understands that unforeseen situations may arise. Requests relating to serious medical emergencies or other exceptional circumstances may be reviewed individually. Any decision regarding refunds, package extensions, or other exceptions shall remain at the sole discretion of The Inner Smile. Any such decision by The Inner Smile is final as between the parties for the purposes of this Policy.
17. Changes to the Terms in Clauses 7 to 16 of this Form
The Inner Smile reserves the right to amend this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice. Updated versions will be published on this website. Amendments will apply prospectively to bookings made after the revised Effective Date, unless a change is required by applicable law or specifically agreed between the parties.
18. Client Participation
Coaching is a collaborative process. Meaningful outcomes depend in part upon your participation, openness, and engagement.
While sessions are intended to support wellbeing and growth, no specific outcomes can be guaranteed. You agree that your use of, or inability to use, the services is at your own sole risk.
19. Data Privacy
Please refer to the Privacy Policy on the website of The Inner Smile.
20. Voluntary Participation
Participation in this coaching relationship is entirely voluntary and may be discontinued at any time by informing the practitioner.
The Inner Smile reserves the right to terminate your use of its services without citing any reason. In such cases, refund will be initiated for remaining sessions.
21. Consent
By proceeding with booking and acknowledging consent through the intake form, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood this document
- You understand the nature and limits of the services offered
- You voluntarily agree to participate in services provided by The Inner Smile
- You understand that these services do not replace medical, psychiatric, or emergency mental health care
- You have read and understood the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and Disclaimer as available on the website of The Inner Smile.
- Any and all disputes, controversy or claim arising out of the services provided by The Inner Smile shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The said disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India.
